Two weeks ago we asked our community to share their most embarrassing, funny or cringe-worthy multitasking fails. We received tons of great submissions but in the end, the unintentionally-pious autocorrect of Estella Bai @bai_eq illustrated best how multitasking and technology can sometimes lead to unexpected consequences:

My most embarrassing #multitasking moment happened when I worked with parking services. I wrote an email while I was on the phone with a caller. My email said “Peter and Christ (Chris) will come tomorrow. Please issue two new parking passes.”
Autocorrect might have overstepped its boundaries for Estella, but it also landed her a $40 Amazon gift voucher for sharing her story. Thanks Estella, it had our Brief team in hysterics!
In the meantime, prepare your headphones and load up your playlists as our next competition will be about music that helps you stay focus and get more done. Stay tuned to our blog and social media accounts for more.

I sent my children a message, “Goodnight to all my lovies” which autocorrected to “Goodnight to all my lovers”. Needless to say I heard from my kids.
I did not know about this funny little contest but I think mine tops them all. I sent a happy birthday message to my step son that never liked me very Well but I always still thought the world of him but he never knew that and probably still doesn’t because I sent the message that said ” Happy Birthday sob! ” it was supposed to say ‘Happy Birthday Son!’ I had hit the b instead of the n and it didn’t get corrected! Once I discovered later what it had said i immediately was on the phone asking my son to call him and apologize to him for me as I didn’t even have his phone number to call him myself. I was so embarrassed and I’m sure others thought I really meant to say that but honestly I didn’t!
Mine was long ago leaving a voicemail . I was trying to cordailly bow out of dinner at a friends house because her homemade Tai food made it difficult to be away from a bathroom for hours. I ofcourse left a very different reason for not making it to dinner and thought I had hung up whereas then I was explaining to my friends I was with why I really wasn’t going to dinner at her house that night and we all got a good laugh…..unfortunately it filled her entire voicemail with us laughing about eating at her house took 20 pounds off of anyone. Needless to say it was months of apologizing before she would speak to me again.
Wish I knew about this I totally would have won. Are you doing it again?
Hi Lisa,
Unfortunately, this particular competition about multitasking is over, but we would be thrilled to have you share your story here with us!
Also, stay tuned for our next competition next week, where we will ask our community what is their preferred music to listen to when you need to focus and get things done.
Thanks again for your contributions,
The Brief Team
